Globant Salesforce Studio Spotlight: Alvaro Arroyo, Salesforce Alliance Lead: Spain, Italy, France, and Portugal

Building a successful partner relationship is critical in delivering value for our clients, and few people know that better than Alvaro Arroyo.

In the latest installment of our Salesforce Studio Spotlight series, Alvaro explains his role as Salesforce Alliance Manager and the work he and his team are doing to help companies across Europe reach the next level of performance with Salesforce.

 Tell me about your role at Globant

 I am a Salesforce Alliance Lead based in Madrid. I focus on building relationships within Salesforce and across our client community in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, and elsewhere in Europe.

As part of the alliance team, I work on growing our European presence. A big part of that is ensuring that all relevant players from Salesforce, the larger partner ecosystem, and our potential client network understand who Globant is and the robust capabilities we bring regarding Salesforce, as well as enterprise transformation, data, and AI. 

During my tenure, our team has carried out several initiatives with Salesforce to serve our clients, including co-hosting incredible thought leadership events to help them stay relevant, informed, and inspired. 

What do you like about your role?

 One of my favorite parts is working with other Globant Studios to create custom solutions across the different Salesforce Clouds. This is something that many other Salesforce partners, even the most prominent companies, aren’t currently doing. So, it’s a significant differentiator for our team and an excellent source of value for our clients and Salesforce.  

 For example, we developed a solution called Smart Collections, which uses the Salesforce platform, including Marketing Cloud, to automate collections. We also use the data and integration capabilities of MuleSoft and Tableau to help companies monetize their data or use data to maximize the customer experience.

 In the health industry, we have the Patient Journey Accelerator, which uses the Salesforce platform to automate the collection and analysis of patient data when they are undergoing treatment. The platform can also centralize and automate communication with the patient and alert the healthcare provider when the data indicates that the patient requires follow-up or intervention.

 These solutions demonstrate how we solve the challenges of modern businesses. Being part of the team that helps these companies adapt and grow is exciting.

 From your point of view, what separates Globant from other Salesforce partners?

Salesforce has an extensive network of partners in this market, so Globant must operate on the cutting edge, identifying new ways to connect and grow with clients across different industries. 

 For example, Globant has a Finance Studio that offers exceptional expertise and deep experience with banks and financial service providers. This becomes a natural area for us to collaborate and innovate with Salesforce to co-create custom solutions, like Smart Collections, to engage clients in new and powerful ways.

We also leverage our advanced data, analytics, and AI capabilities to create solutions like Smart Decisioning, which helps teams use Salesforce data and insights from other sources to make better real-time decisions. This engine helps companies identify what products and services their customers may be interested in, what offers they could create to accelerate the sales journey, and when to engage the client with targeted communications and content.

Globant’s unique delivery model, pod structure, expansive partner network, and overall speed and agility derived from being born digital set us apart and helped us accelerate growth in this region. 

 From the client’s perspective, what is Globant’s strength as a Salesforce partner?

 First and foremost, we help clients get the most out of their Salesforce investments—to use the technologies to solve complex challenges, unlock new opportunities, or create revenue streams.

 As a company, we do things differently than other partners: We’re born digital, we make AI part of everything we do, and we’re agile—which helps us think outside the box and serve our clients differently. 

As many partners do, we offer end-to-end services. Still, we also take a personalized approach, building custom solutions within Salesforce that are hyper-focused on a specific company’s needs. Only a few other service players can offer that breadth and depth of services across all industries, so Globant is unique in that way.

 More practically speaking, we have a flexible delivery model that helps companies shrink timelines and maximize budgets. Globant has a massive presence in the Americas, but we also have offices worldwide, which allows us to blend on-, off-, and near-shore resources based on the client’s needs. That’s also a big differentiator for us and a source of value for our clients.

 I think of Globant as a fresh partner—we have energy, experience, and digital expertise—everything a client needs to be successful with Salesforce and beyond.
