Every year, Globant’s Converge event provides a window into where technology, business, and creativity come together and to get a glimpse of where it is headed. It’s a gathering of big thinkers—visionary CEOs, industry pioneers, and innovation leaders—all diving into the trends reshaping industries worldwide. The 2025 edition feels extra special because it’s tackling some of the most exciting and relevant topics today: AI-powered decision-making, sustainable growth, fan engagement through cutting-edge tech, and unlocking Latin America’s massive potential. This year, we had close-up insights from leaders like Christopher Young, Stefano Domenicali, and Marcos Galperin. We gather in their words game-changing ideas and fresh insights, that will help businesses embrace innovation and redefine their futures. Here are the top five quotes from Converge, AI: Disrupt, Delight, Connect.
1.“The key moment for fan engagement was when we started to open up through Netflix, social media, and other platforms to show what’s behind the scenes.” –
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1
In an industry that moves fast—literally and figuratively— it was interesting and exciting to see how F1 embraces our philosophy of “Daring to delight”. We had front-row seats to an inspiring exchange between two great minds: F1’s Stefano Domenicali and Globant’s Martín Migoya. During their conversation, Domenicali shared how the world of motorsport had to reinvent itself, shifting gears to create a whole new way for fans to truly feel and experience the thrill of the sport.
It’s no longer just about a driver inside a race car; it’s about leveraging technology to give fans a look at what’s happening inside the vehicle and behind the scenes. The strategy focused on meeting people where they are—on streaming platforms and social media, bringing the thrill of motorsport to their favorite spaces and showing them a whole new side of racing.
So, how does technology come into play here? Data, data, data. It might seem strange that something as “cold” as data could enhance something as “warm” as the human experience. However, data enables F1 and other sports giants to get closer to their fans, understand them, and connect in new and meaningful ways. That’s the magic of technology—it empowers humanity to be as human as it can be.
2.“We are betting hugely in agents and agentic workflows as something that’s really going to transform the way all companies work.” -John Fanelli, VP of Enterprise Software at NVIDIA
Martin Nanni, Chief Experience Officer EMEA at Globant, spoke at Converge with NVIDIA’s John Fanelli about the evolution of its processors and the recent partnership with Globant to take AI agents to the next level. On the one hand, NVIDIA is pioneering a shift in data center architecture with liquid-cooled graphics processing units (GPUs) designed to improve power efficiency, reduce energy costs, and lower carbon emissions. But that’s not all: the incorporation of AI into chip designs, bug databases, software code, and the workforce itself is bringing agentic architecture to scale and transforming business operations at an accelerated pace.
While NVIDIA is known for its GPUs, John highlights software innovation with a key component called NVIDIA Interference Microservice (NIM), which highly optimizes the ability to deploy an LLM, creating NVIDIA agent blueprints. These AI agents are coworkers that elevate the productivity of human teams in any area of an enterprise. All you have to do is choose which one. The shared vision with Globant is to solve current business challenges and free up resources such as time, capital, and energy to find new opportunities. With their partnership, Globant and NVIDIA are unlocking the future of AI-driven transformation, where intelligent agents don’t just assist—but accelerate progress at every level of business.
3.“AI helps you make decisions. And what it does is it scales up the decision-making of whoever built it. That may be a good thing, that may be a terrible thing.” -Cassie Kozyrkov, Data Scientist at Google
AI is a powerful technology that, like any other, depends on humans. For Cassie Kozyrkov, Data Scientist at Google, AI is a decision-making tool. She introduces the concept of “decision intelligence,” which refers to the process of converting information into optimal actions at any scale. Modern decision automation, like AI, must create structures and processes for effective decision-making in an ever-expanding range of data. However, data alone is not enough—intuition often plays a crucial role in guiding how information is used. Data worship, where decision-makers blindly follow data without understanding its context or purpose, can be a major challenge. AI, then, serves a dual function: it is a tool for decision-making, but it is also the product of it.
According to Cassie, there are three things to keep in mind when using AI systems strategically: purpose, patterns, and performance. Purpose determines what counts as a mistake, patterns help guide how data is used, and performance establishes criteria that ensure alignment across an organization. The overall lesson is that data is never purely objective—it originates from subjective human decisions. With big data comes big responsibility.
4.Latin America has 600 million people, so the growth potential is massive. In the future, developers will be able to tell machines what to do without writing any code, which will greatly improve productivity and drive our growth.” Marcos Galperin, CEO of Mercado Libre.
This statement set the tone for an inspiring conversation between Mercado Libre founder, Globant CEO, and cofounder Martín Migoya. How is Mercado Libre using AI to unlock Latin America’s massive growth potential?
The two visionary leaders explored the explosive opportunities in technology and innovation, with Galperin highlighting how Mercado Libre is revolutionizing the region. From empowering small businesses to delivering cutting-edge solutions in e-commerce and fintech, Mercado Libre has grown into a tech powerhouse, serving 100 million monthly users. But for Galperin, this is just the beginning—future growth will be fueled by advancements like AI-driven tools that enable developers to code without coding.
Galperin and Migoya dove deep into how AI is transforming industries. “Mercado Libre is leveraging AI to enhance customer service, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes efficiently. Whether it’s automating complex decisions or boosting developer productivity through conversational software creation, AI is unlocking new possibilities.” remarked Galmerin “It’s like having a superpower,” Galperin quipped, describing how these technologies will continue to reshape the way businesses operate in Latin America.
5.”When we were in the process of spinning McAfee out, the inside of the company had to be rebuilt. It’s like somebody taking the engine out of a car and putting a new one in while you’re still moving on the highway.”- Christopher Young, EVP at Microsoft
How do you successfully drive change on the fly to achieve a high-speed changeover? Christopher Young, the former CEO of McAfee (2014-2020), has the answer as he shares a thing or two about high-stakes problem-solving at Globant’s 2025 Converge Edition. He summed it up best with a killer metaphor: spinning McAfee off from Intel was like swapping out a car engine while the car was still speeding down the highway, referring to the intricate balancing act required during significant organizational transitions and underscoring the dual pressures of sustaining day-to-day operations while executing profound, structural change.
His words perfectly exemplify what it was like to untangle McAfee from Intel’s backend systems—HR, IT, you name it—and build a whole new setup from scratch. All the while, their customer-facing services had to hum along without a hitch. It wasn’t just about having a flawless game plan; it took an agile team ready to troubleshoot curveballs in real time, from unexpected glitches to full-blown cyberattacks.
Young brought this analogy to life, vividly depicting the wild ride businesses go through during massive transitions. It’s a playful yet powerful reminder for every organization to remember that to navigate transformative change, you need grit, creativity, and a team that can steer the ship and build it simultaneously.
