Saturday, March 23rd and 30th, Globant invited Globers and clients to join the cause and support Venezuela. Globant donates the proceeds generated on those days and duplicates the profit by adding up a corporate donation to AID FOR AIDS in the initiative “Healing Venezuela the formula to heal.”

Why Helping Venezuela?

Venezuela is going through a profound crisis. Shortage of basic products and medicines and hyperinflation are some of the problems that this country is going through.

Malnutrition and child mortality is even more critical: 26,446 babies under 12-months have died of malnutrition during 2016-2017. These numbers were even worse during 2017-2018.

AID FOR AIDS is a non-profit organization committed to empower communities at risk of HIV and the population at large, by developing their abilities and capacities in comprehensive prevention.

In 2018, the organization fed 400 babies providing them with infant formula and now, they aim to save 3,000 babies by April 30th 2019.

Why do we want to help with the nutrition of newborn babies?

In order to slow this tragic situation down we are focusing on the most vulnerable population —newborn babies— by providing nutrition to ensure their survival and, ultimately, to work for the future of Venezuela. These are infants whose mothers are too ill or malnourished to breastfeed, and infants who have been orphaned and abandoned.

At Globant we commit to our community and participate in actions to impact positively. Venezuela needs all our help and support, thus Globant joins the cause #All4Venezuela

“My name is Matias, I’m a frontend developer at Globant. I think this is a great initiative, so I managed to be here on Saturday and help people in need. I would definitely do this again!

Matias Manuel Rodriguez

“Many of my teammates are from Venezuela and I have heard such tragic stories of their familiars, so making the decision of joining the cause giving some of my time was the best opportunity to give a hand to those in need”.

– Lucas Romero Di Benedetto

“I really thank Globant for giving me this opportunity of putting my two cents for the situation that my country is going through, and also I want to thank all those Globers that decided to dedicate some hours of their spare time to join this noble cause… I definitely believe these are little actions of great impact!”
