Globant wants to transform the world by supporting Globers to develop to their full potential. The spirit of our Be Kind philosophy is one that promotes continuous learning, and our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion aims to create a culture of empowerment and belonging.
“In order to achieve inclusion, we need to recognize that there has been a disparity in opportunities for certain populations,” says Saumya Pathak, People Partner – Talent & Culture, North America. “It means focusing on equity in order to achieve equality – that is, providing the solutions that people need based on inequity in the system. We know that women in tech generally, and at Globant specifically, have development needs, and we are addressing these needs through our She Soars program.”
SheSoars is a new program introduced to female Globers in the United States that includes six webinar-style sessions presented by coaching specialists from the training organization, HumanPoint, and tailored specifically for Globant. Executive coaches delivering sessions on authentic leadership and communication include Amy Mckenna, Dr. Renee St Jacques, and Lisa Fain.
These sessions will tackle topics such as building your personal brand, handling difficult conversations, constructive criticism, and strengthening your network in an interactive way, allowing for group communication and peer learning opportunities as well. The first SheSoars session had over 50% of female Globers in the US in attendance at one of the two sessions offered.
Between the six sessions, participants will get the chance to come together as a group and reflect on the training, share key takeaways, and discuss other relevant topics. These SheChat sessions are designed to strengthen the sense of community amongst female Globers and provide another opportunity for networking.
We know that only through ongoing efforts can we bring about real change. Prior to launching SheSoars, as part of our celebration of March’s Women’s History Month. Globant hosted a session with LaEisha, author of “Fill Your Tank,” and offered all female Globers a free copy of the book.
In the future, we plan to launch the SheLeads program, an expansion of the SheSoars program with mentoring for senior leaders.
These efforts all support a global initiative of having 50% women and non-binary representation in management positions by 2025. Learn more about Globant’s commitment to promoting women in the tech industry and all of our Be Kind initiatives.
